Why do I get an "untrusted" security alert when I try to log into cPanel?

An 'untrusted certificate' warning may appear when you attempt to log into your hosting account cPanel. This is because we run a self-signed security certificate on our servers. The alert is letting you know 'this site tells us it's secure, but we haven't verified that'. This is nothing to worry about and all you need to do is accept the security certificate and your browser will then take you to the page you requested.

Note: An SSL (secure sockets layer) certificate ensures that any information will be scrambled as it travels across the internet, making it impossible for any third party to intercept or steal.
